Greatest kids (and adults) book ever
As a child psychoanalyst, parent and grandparent, I can’t recommend this book strongly enough. It is so captivating, funny and reassuring. I will admit Grover has always been my favorite Sesame St. character. This is one of the 10 best selling Little Golden Books of all time. I like the larger format, but the smaller one is convenient for packing on a trip when a child might feel anxious sleeping in a new setting! Please run out and get this book and enjoy!

This Book is SO Silly â But Thereâs a Monster at the End!
Okay, so The Monster at the End of This Book is the BEST book ever! My kids and I read it together, and we were giggling the whole time. The best part? Grover, the lovable blue monster, is SUPER scared about the monster at the end of the book â and he tries EVERYTHING to stop us from turning the pages. Like, he begs, he pleads, and even builds walls to stop us. It’s so funny because, letâs be honest, we all KNOW weâre going to turn those pages anyway (because who can resist?).Groverâs reactions are hilarious, and the book keeps getting more ridiculous with every page. My kids were shouting, âDonât turn the page!â and then laughing because we totally did turn the page anyway â because thatâs what you do when thereâs a mystery (and a monster) at the end!Without giving too much away, let me just say that the “monster” at the end is… not what you expect. But that’s what makes it SO much fun! This book is perfect for kids who love a little suspense and a lot of laughs. Itâs silly, clever, and totally worth reading over and over (which we do, by the way). Highly recommend it for some hilarious bedtime reading!

Expressive book
My mom read this to me as a kid, so I read it to my kids. The block books are great for younger kids so they can turn the pages easier. The kids love the story and how expressive it can be read.

The best book for one on one out loud reading time
This is the all time classic, funny, interactive, read aloud when a little one is sitting right by you! Grover is scared because he heard there’s a monster at the end of the book so he sets up ways to try to stop the reader from turning the pages, but of course you do, it get’s more and more silly, until the very end he finds that the only monster at the end of the book is himself. It’s not scary at all but very, silly, fun, and delightful read. It’s adorable. Get ready to hear some giggles

An oldie but a goodie!
I do not know a young child who does not love this book! It is one of my very favorite go-to books to give as a gift. Four- and five-year-olds love it. Grover is afraid of a “monster” at the end of the book and on each page he tries to persuade the reader to stop turning pages. “This will stop you from turning pages!” he says, and he nails, ties, and bricks each page and then says “YOU TURNED THE PAGE!” after each page gets turned. The kids LOVE deciding to turn each page. At the end, Grover says “Well, look at that! I am the monster at the end of the book ….. and YOU were so scared”. LOL.It is a very fun, interactive book to read with kids.

This is one of my all-time favorite books for kids 3 1/2+. It is so funny, especially if youâre an animated reader. Iâm not sure who loves it more; the kids or myself.!

Favorite book
This was my sonâs favorite book as a toddler. I have read it at school in class as well. The kids all love how suspenseful it is and the surprise at the end. Just bought this copy for my granddaughter!
