How do you get your cats to play with it??
It’s cute, it was hard to blow up until I realized I had to poke my own hole in the piece that you blow into. Neither of my cats will do anything with it though which surprised me. Has anyone gotten their cats to actually play with it like it suggests they will?

my cat isn’t even like super aggressive but i was too scared to fill it up w water bc it just looked like it was gonna break easily. it is great for children who don’t have claws tho or like really bored people

Waste of money
I received it on the 24th and on the 25th it was already leaking. It was extremely hard to blow up. I have my cats nails trimmed by my Vet. I would give it 0 stars if that was an option. Don’t bother buying it.

The first thing I noticed when I opened this play mat, was the very strong plastic smell. This alone meant my cat’s did not like going near it.The mat has two inflatable sections, the outer section which is inflated with air and the inner section which you fill with water.I used a balloon pump to inflate the outer edge as I could not do it by ‘puff’ alone. It is difficult to inflate as the the edges would not go straing, despite not being able to pump any more air in.The inner part is then filled with water. Again this was difficult as with the outer edge already inflated, it became a large item to get into my small sink with the small tap. I inflated it to a third full as instructed (which incidentally is a lot less than the listing shows, which looks as if it is full to the brim).As the cats would not go anywhere near it, we prodded it to simulate their paws and although the fish moved a bit, they did not move around very much at all. Certainly not enough to stimulate a cat (it is interesting that the listing does not show an actual cat using it, but rather superimposed images).The water needs to be changed weekly and this is not as easy as it sounds. The plug for the water is not near an edge or a corner, so no matter how much you rotate the mat, you just cannot drain all the water out. Putting it flat does not help either as the plug is proud of the mat and just makes a little hill which stops the water running out.I can say that the plastic is quite thick and as long as it is not filled too full, may well withstand a bit of claw action but could not put this to the test.The item is not expensive and as a cool mat in the summer after it has been outside to get rid of the smell, might be beneficial.

It feels exactly the same as the version for toddlers that I had.It was easy and quick to set up.The measurements are exactly as per the listing description.The cat was not very interested in it.He checks it from time to time but is not playing properly.However, I think it is a great toy and might be suitable for some cats, as they are all different.It is more expensive than the version for kids.
