About Us
Thanks for visiting our small biz, Travel Cat.
Emily & Ian here, co-founders (and also, husband and wife). Like many of you, we we inspired by our cats. Our first cat Andie, who we rescued on a whim after finding her abandoned in the back yard of a family member in 2017. We became “cat people” pretty much overnight and quickly noticed there was and still is a lack of products and companies dedicated exclusively to cats.
How did we get our start?
Shortly after we have adopted our first cat, we have decided to launched Your Cat Backpack by Travel Cat.
What problem are we solving?
We are on a mission to help people realize that cats aren’t “easy” because they sleep all day. Cats need enrichment and playtime to live happy and healthy lives.

Couldnât be happier, this is my first buy from Travel Cat and Iâm very happy with the quality of the harness. I was originally going to get a medium before I measured my cat but I ended up going with Large even though I didnât think my orange boy was that big haha So be sure to measure before you purchase!

Too bulky.
The cat hates it, doesn’t like to go for walks with it on. She bites it and the leash when we get back, just like she’s killing prey.

Our forest cat wasn’t able to wriggle out of it. We have had problems with other harnesses but this one worked! Excited to take him on walks! The leash isn’t long enough for our curious kitten. We got the medium for our very floofy male Siberian Forest Cat that weighs 11 pounds at 10 months.

Cat escaped, poor customer service.
I purchased several harnesses, that were either too large or too small for my cat. I found dealing with their customer service to be slow to unresponsive as well.

Looks similar to the game so that’s fun, but the neck strap is waaaay too big and and the body strap is too small by comparison. The neck strap is also far too wide for my cats average length neck. Definitely disappointed given the cost.
