Awesome placemat!
I’ve been using this placemat for a few months now and I still love it. It doesn’t suction to the table but it does stick to the table so it doesn’t slide around. My little one can pull it up but I already expected that because nothing really suctions well enough to stand up to a determined baby. I do love the food catching tray that hangs over the edge of the table. It works perfectly to keep almost all of his dropped food from landing on the floor. It’s great for minimizing messes in restaurants and keeping his food off of dirty tables. It rolls up and folds easily so it fits in the diaper bag and it’s super easy to clean. I would recommend this to every parent with a baby learning to feed themselves.

Great for travel
We bought this for our son for when we go out or travel, to try and minimize messes and also make sure he has a clean surface to eat off of. When he first used it at 9 months, he kept trying to pull it off the table and play with it, so we ended up putting it away for a couple of months. Heâs now 1 year and understands that itâs not a toy. Itâs really useful and weâve had people ask where we got it when weâre out and about. I like the little edge catcher, since sometimes heâll knock something into it that he didnât mean to. It also really does help to keep messes contained, although not always. We used it tonight at a restaurant and while he had crumbs on his pants, there was very little on the floor underneath his high chair. We shook off the excess, wiped it off with baby wipes, and rolled it up to stuff in the diaper bag. It gets washed properly when we get home. Since itâs silicone, food doesnât stick as much, so thereâs very little scrubbing. Iâm planning to buy this for three different coworkers whoâve recently had babies, unless they get something similar first.

Great way to keep mess contained for little ones
We got this placemat because we needed a way to keep the food that doesn’t make it into our toddler’s mouth off the table as much as we could. This has been a really nice addition to mealtime…while he still manages to get food on other areas of the table and floor, this has really reduced the amount of cleanup we are doing. At the end of mealtime, we’re able to roll it up and clean it off or put it in the dishwasher. Our table is finished wood so the suction isn’t great, but it stays well enough and when we put his plate on it, it holds up a little more. We placed on our granite countertop for comparison and it does stick just fine there, just FYI. The food catcher hangs a little low instead of straight out, but that doesn’t bother us too much…it actually works pretty nicely in keeping some of the food off his lap and catches it before it hits the floor! If the suctioning was more secure on our table, I’d give 5 stars. Overall, though, I would recommend given the size and ease of cleanup, even with the moderate suctioning on our table.

Good idea, but poor execution
This mat is made of quality material, and looks like it would work great. But it does not have suction to stay on the table, and the overall structure is too bulky. The tray was too big, and my kids couldnât get close enough to the table to eat easily. It would be easily drug off the table.

Works well depending on table surface
This thing has been a godsend for my toddler who nowbrefuses to wear a bib. It sticks well to our quartz countertops as well as wood table. This would not work on a tablecloth or textured plastic folding table.It’s especially been helpful accompanied with our learning tower! It fits perfectly on the gap between the tower and the counter.It comes with a rubber band to roll it up, but we never use it on the go.It’s a little annoying to clean as it’s so floppy. We have a divided sink, so I will hang it on the divide to clean. Everything comes off easily. It can also be put in the top rack of the dishwasher, but it’ll take up a LOT of space.My toddler does not try to pick it up.Overall, FANTASTIC purchase for us

doesn’t stick to table
I have bought 4 of these for my kids. The first one was great and we still use it. The second one had to be replaced because it stopped sticking to the table. The brand new replacement never stuck to the table. I ordered another and the same thing happened- it never stuck to the table. I threw both away.

Very Helpful to maintain the Mess!
Got this for my very messy hand eater. I got tired of the disaster all over my table. Easy to apply onto table and sticks well, and removing it is a cinch. Keeps my table clean, and less stress for me as a compulsive neat freak. Catches the multiple droppings that miss the mouth and I just swipes all the food into the trough, fold it up and empty into the sink. Covers a Good amount of space for toddler to eat.

Doesn’t retain adhesiveness; weight of tray pulls mat off the table
I don’t remember seeing the disclaimer about this being a frequently returned item. Have had for almost two years and it worked fine the first 18 months. Then it seemed to lose its clinging ability. Weight of the tray would pull it off the tablea. Sometimes pulling the food with it. And it appears to be about twice the price of similar products. Charlie is almost 4 so don’t know if I will buy another brand. And I guess I can’t complain too much since it lasted almost 1.5 years.

This mat is a must have for anyone with a small child eating at your table! The material is tough and easy to clean with just a quick wipe, and it sticks well to most surfaces. The catch basin is a good size and works well for catching food or liquid that doesn’t quite make it to the destination. It folds up easily and can be brought to restaurants as well!

It’s a nice design, easy to clean and store. However we have a wooden dining table and the placemat keeps slipping towards our child. It doesn’t have the necessary grip or sticking ability to ensure it stays in place so we wouldn’t recommend this to others unless they devise a way to suction it to the table or add additional grip to the bade of the mat.
