How to activate filter
Another reviewer said the bottle had to be put upside down for each use. Instructions from internet say: Before first use, fill the bottle to submerge the filter for 15 minutes. Thatâs it. You are good to go. If used regularly, the filter only needs to be activated once. You do not need to activate the filter every time you use the bottle. If your filter dries out completely (usually because it has sat unused for several weeks), just reactivate by submerging the filter for 15 minutes and your bottle will be ready for use.

2nd one
Had to buy a 2nd one. Not because the first was bad, but because I wanted to give my kid one for boyscout trips. Boiling water to drink is useful knowledge but itâs time consuming. So whilst the troop is boiling water and doing other water purifying things, my boy will be hydrated. While learning to be awesome

Too expensive
Flimsy bottle overpriced

Style is nice – easy to hold but because it leaks around the cap. Do not Buy
The cap leaked. A very disappointing product. It had to be returned .

Filter any water on the go. No leaks. Fits in standard holders.
Pros:Cool water bottle. Seems to work. Cleans up dirty water and the resulting water you drink taste great. It’s a clear grey color so you can see the stuff inside a bit and prevent mildew from growing. The cap prevents leaks. The filter is good so the water comes out slowly. This is not the water bottle you squirt yourself in the face with. This one is for drinking clean water only. The good thing is it fits in the bicycle bottle holder without any issue. Doesn’t bump into my frame bags. I like the 20oz, but also like the 26oz, get that one that suits you best.cons:The water bottle itself says to go to the website to get replacement filters. Well I tried that and the website doesn’t exist. I did find them on amazon. A twin pack of filters for the cost of the bottle which seems pretty pricey. I think having a business website with lab test results and official information is very important and had to knock off a star for that.Improvements:Add a way to hook it to something. I have to put the water bottle into some kind of holder or carry it all the time. I’d like to hook it or tie it somehow to my waist when I’m hiking/walking.The filter seems good, they do claim lab test confirm it works and when you drink the water it comes out clean and taste clean. You sometimes have to squeeze the bottle a bit.

No Leaks and Fits standard holders
OK , I finally got to real world test this. I have no way of measuring the validity of it’s ability to filter out micro organisms so I have to rely on the MFG claim like with all filters.I used this on a short gear shakedown hike where water was scarce. The water found was murky and pretty sketch. It smelled a bit when in the bottle too. Once filtered it tasted fine and had no mury qualities. The water is a bit difficult to draw from the nozzle like all filters of this type. It is not an issue. The cap is secure, snaps in place and does not leak even when on end, upsidedown or shaken. It fits perfect in the standard holders including one in my backpack shoulder strap. I built the holder to hold the bottle and the filter separately. I do this because I usually start with good water in the bottle and no filter on my hikes. I continue to fill the bottle at known potable water until I cannot. Then I scoop questionable water, install the filter and and use it from that point on with the filter installed. This is now my go to filter for fly fishing. For other adventures as a secondary or trail travel filter. I prefer gravity filters as the base camp filter. This MFG claims that it also filters down to Virus level which is awesome and not the typical of other filters in this size or class. This might explain the higher price than similar less expensive bottle filters. If traveling to places with potential virusus in the water this should be the ticket.Based on capabilities and functionality I would recommend and purchase again. With that said there are good cheaper options if you’re water like cleaner mountain streams just needs giardia and other micro organism filtering to 99.9 rather than 99.9999 like this filter boasts. Those extra 9s are important …if you need them it’s worth the price..

I didn’t really put this bottle to the test since I used fairly reliable water in it during my Mexican vacation. However, I did not get sick at all and assume that it was partly because of this bottle. Since I wanted to run all water I planned to drink through this bottle, I would fill it and then squeeze the water out into another bottle to build up a clean supply. However, it often leaked during this process and sometimes leaked while i was drinking. If you don’t suck on it too hard or squeeze it too hard, it doesn’t leak. Overall, I’m satisfied, but it is not perfect.

Pros:- Simple to use- Provides great tasting water- Efficiently filters water in a timely matter- Eliminates illness-causing pathogens, chemicals, heavy metals and micro-plastics- Just fill at any fresh water source like a tap, lake, or streamReal water drinkers know that all water doesn’t taste the same. I am a very picky water drinker. I try to drink as much water as I can in a day, sometimes I get stuck having to drink water that I don’t necessarily agree with. I am not a fan of tap water, it always tastes funny to me. This water purifier works wonders, it has helped me stay hydrated in situations where I wouldn’t have dared drinking the water. I bring this water bottle along with me whenever I travel, go camping, go on a motorcycle ride. This is a great water bottle to have, it has come in handy many times now.

This is a good bottle and purifier. I do wish it had included more detailed information on what can be filtered as I’m unsure of it’s true capabilities with what was included in the package. I want to try using dirty, river water but I’m not sure if I’ll damage the filter or not. That being said, the product is very well built and easy to use. It filters pretty quickly, like a brita water jug basically. The taste is pretty netural – it does seem to get rid of any flavour of any of the liquids I have tried. The bottle itself seems pretty strong, it has been dropped and kicked around with no obvious damage. It’s easy to clean and easy to use – what more is there to say?I really wish I knew it’s limits though!

My chicken of a wife begged me for this so I got it for her. She wanted it so that she can drink almost any water I thought, as it filters the worst of the worst. She wants to use it to filter filtered water because apparently that’s not clean enough. I will start her off slow as I know how a lot of things set off her allergies, so I will start her off with tap water, then maybe beach water and work her up to the stuff in the pic. Wish me luck and stay tuned. I think it’s a great product to have when you need water and there is none and you have to settle for what ever there is. I think it would be great also for traveling to foreign countries where the water may make you sick.
