dog nail grinder
This is really a nice tool to have for your grooming needs. This has 5 different speed settings to choose from. Size wise it is easy to handle while doing your dogs toe nails by yourself. It is also fairly quiet and doesn’t make too much loud noise to scare your pet.If this is the first time using a nail grinder, I would recommend for you to introduce slowly to your pet by first letting it touch his paws without it on just so it knows it will not hurt him. You should also have by now played with your dog’s pups paws so they know you will not hurt them. Start with slowest setting at a time and do a 2 or 3 toe nails and let your pup loose to release anxiety before moving on to next toe or paw. Reward with a small treat either in between toe nails or paws. Make it an enjoyable experience for both of you. But overall the quality of this grinder is fantastic, quiet, easy to handle, sturdy, multiple settings to choose from and also has a built in light you can turn on to see thru nail, so you don’t hurt your dog’s quick if they are the clear ones. If you have black toe nails, ask your vet how far you should grind them if this is your first time doing it yourself. Highly recommend this item.

Donât use level 5
I donât recommend using level five which is the only con because I feel the speed is too fast. Although this nail sander does provide a safety piece it is also detachable this nail sander comes with a LED light, which is optional to take on or off . My dogs usually donât love strangers, touching their nails, so I love being able to sand down their nails in the comfort of my own home. This nail filer is very portable and tiny, but will definitely get the job done. The nail filer is relatively cheap although it does do be fantastic job. I do recommend wearing a face mask because itâs not the greatest smell when you sand dogs feet.

Trims well
This is a nice compact USB rechargeable nail trimmer. Charges quickly and is easy to operate. The display let’s you see what speed the trimmer is running at. The trimmer comes with a USB charging cord, directions, removable trimmer nail guard and dust absorbant pads. It vibrates some during use. Trying to get my dog use to it.

Good for a nervous pup
I like this style for some precision around a nervous pup’s nails. It does take a little longer than when I use the clipper style trimmers, but it is a nice option to have. The charge on the battery is very good – I haven’t had to recharge yet after a few uses. The handle fit feels natural and is easy to maintain a solid grip. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a trimming option.

Did nothing
Given the other positive reviews, I’m not sure if I just got a dud, but this nail grinder did nothing. I checked the nail with my finger before and after using the grinder and felt absolutely no difference. I tried multiple times and see no evidence that it actually ground the nail. For reference, my dog is a bichon frise, so a small breed. I was really surprised that this grinder did nothing on his nails.Needless to say, I can’t recommend this product.

Great for a first timer!
As a new dog mom, I was beyond nervous to perform any kind of nail care on my (now) 3-month-old goldendoodle,,, as I’ve seen and heard some real horror stories. We have and regularly use many ‘We Love Doodles’ products, so when I saw this nail grinder and that it’s both low noise and has 5 different speed settings, I thought it’d be the perfect beginner-friendly tool to start out this journey with.For starters, I really wish the description stated that the grinder actually comes with a removable protective cover that has a small and medium cutout for trimming small and medium-sized dogs. If you take the cover off, you expose the full diamond drill bit, which you can then use on large dogs. As a rookie, this is a key feature to highlight, as my biggest fear is hurting my pup in the process. The cutouts in the cover lessen your room to work with and, thus, lessen the chances of you accidentally hurting your (super curious and therefore wiggly) puppy. It’s also key to note that you can use this tool throughout your dog’s lifespan, as it’s conducive with all sizes.Other great features: the LED light makes seeing the nail 100x easier and trimming it down to the perfect length. As mentioned, there are 5 different speed settings, so you can go as slow or fast as you/your pup are comfortable with. The device itself is a bit heavier than I expected, but is still comfortable to hold and maneuver. I also like that it comes with dust absorbent foam pads, which are effective and do lessen the overall mess.Final verdict – I really like this nail grinder and would recommend trying, especially if you’re a (nervous) first-time dog parent!

surprisingly quiet grinder works well, but some burning smell from the nails
Got this to review and it’s an effective nail grinder at a good value. Most surprising part – our noise-sensitive pup (hates vacuum sounds) doesn’t mind the motor at all. Takes a good amount of time to do all his nails but it gets the job done smoothly, just slowly. Maybe if we trim more regularly that wonât be the case.Iâm not sore, long term, how long grinding tips will really last. They seem fine so far, but also seem like they’re working hard! (Plus you can smell the pulverized nail and the grinder tip get warm but not the part where you hold it. BUT… Overall solid choice for gentle nail maintenance. And surprisingly decent price for what it is. For heftier jobs I’d definitely recommend regular clippers, personally, and use this for quick, frequent touch-ups.

Effective Tool, but Noise Sensitivity Limits Use
The tool itself is well-made and functions as expected. Unfortunately, my grand puppy gets scared as soon as I turn it on and hears the grinderâs noise, even at the lowest setting. This makes it difficult to use despite its good performance. It might work better for pets who are less sensitive to sound.
