Sturdy product, greatly reduced forces from pulling, lunging, running full out, etc.
Thus far works great.Have one for a 12 lb and one for a 70 lb.The big one like to pull real hard and run around in swamps.Use both mainly on 20ft retractable leashes and harnesses.Real shoulder saver for the big guy (for him and me).The little one chokes from pulling much less.No issues yet with rusting, drying out, etc.Great product thus far, did exactly what I was looking for for each of our little dudes.—Update:Have one less… And one more dog since my last review. Have used two large and one small size. The bright green is easy to find in a pile in the back seat.I think my 6 mths old puppy may have broken our new one a bit.. but it still works fine.I like to use a carabiner around my belt l attached to this, and a leash connected between this and the dog as a back up attachment for our new puppy. She’s a puller. A runner. And 40 lbs of muscle and growing. I use this to protect both of our shoulders (and hips. And backs).The smaller one, I use the same way for our Sausage Chihuahua. This one is to give his Lil’ body a break if I accidentally step on his lead or … Whatever else may happen.Really stopped my shoulder from hurting like hell after walks with the bigger pullers.

Great extender…just too bulky for my small dog
I purchased this item rather impulsively now that spring is arriving and I’m taking my beloved Havanese, Ernie with me just about everywhere I roam. Ernie and I are also contemplating a few extensive road trips. Ernie must be securely tethered into his rear-seat doggie car seat, especially after I survived a very serious auto accident…first one ever…this past December and totaled a truck. Fortunately, Ernie was not with me. I wanted an extender to attach to the very short one that is part of Ernie’s secure car seat. I purchased the Yangbaga for this purpose.So, this is a great, sturdy, secure & attractive bungee-cord type “shock absorbing” leash extender. It is extremely well made but IMHO, this extender is waaaaay too big, heavy and bulky for my 20-lb Havanese. The plated clip on the end of the extender is huge…seems to weigh a ton. I cannot imagine tethering Ernie into his doggie car seat with this thing for any extended period of time. I gifted the extension to my neighbor, who owns a rather unruly, VERY STRONG, one year old, 65-lb male lab. Nice item but it didn’t work for us.

Not as useful as I thought
My application was initially at the end of a flexi expandable leash just to keep my very large half grown puppy from yanking my shoulder so hard when she saw a squirrel or bunny on the trail. Did not work for this, it is heavier that the expandable tape style leash and would sag to the ground just enough when retracting to get under her leg, part of the reason I hike with a retractable, to allow some exploring without tangling my dogs leg as it comes and goes. My wife now uses it at the end of a conventional leash for her dog. I seems like it will last, good quality and works as described to soften the leash pull. Not terribly heavy but heavier than expected, does not mesh well with a light weight leash, also doesnât stretch much. Good product that will maybe work well for some things, just not good application for my needs.

Seems Quite Rugged So Far
I bought this to replace a similar cheaper device that seemed to have been made out of cheap rubber bands and fell apart in no time.Went a little âextraâ to ensure I got something tougher this time. My dog is only 29 lbs but heâs like the Tasmanian Devil when he sees a squirrel so sure enough, he busted the cheap one I bought last time.This seems to have a steel coil inside to it and be much more ruggedly built so i expect it will hold him. Only had it about 2 months though.I will update the review if there are any issues, for now though it does exactly what it says on the tin and I have a good feeling about this one.

Good use for service dogs
This extender worked great for my service dog. Just adding a little bit of length between her harness and hand grip.

Elastic broke within days after a few walks
This works as a leash extender, but that is it. I purchased this for my 80lb Shepard mix dog because she tends to pull and I wanted some shock absorption. The product says the large size works “for dogs with large strength”. Turns out, the “stretchy” aspect did not last. In the past, I had purchased a different, similar product at a bit higher cost which lasted about 6 months, so I hoped this one would be better based on the reviews. Not the case.If your dog is big and pulls a lot, go elsewhere. It seems like all of the positive reviews are from folks with smaller dogs or those that are better on a leash, but it absolutely did not work for my dog “with large strength”. In the past, I used Jerk-Ease which lasted a lot longer but is a bit more expensive (and made in the US, unlike this product).

Great product, I should have gotten it sooner. Has really help in stopping back pain from walking my dog. The only thing I would change is to not have it stretch out so far before it hit the limiter

Nice appearance but useless: not stretchy enough to make any difference and clasp is heavy and cumbersome. I bought a super cheap one on Aliexpress for a fraction of the price and although not as good “quality” (ie cheaper, lighter materials), it works better than this one.
